Cristofori's Dream by David Lanz (25 Year Anniversary Edition)

A visual interpretation with dance of this stunningly beautiful piece by David Lanz. I filmed and edited all the footage for this video myself but the music is performed by David Lanz and comes directly from his new CD entitled "Cristofori's Dream... Re-Envisioned" which celebrates 25 years since the original album was released. This version is without the orchestrations of the original and is solo piano only.

For those who don't know the background, this piece pays homage to Bartolomeo Cristofori... the inventor of the piano. David Lanz describes the story behind this piece in the booklet that accompanies the CD... parts of which I used as inspiration for the filming of the video.

Everyone who follows my channel knows that I enjoy playing David Lanz's music, but it was nice to be able to put on film the imagery and emotion I experience when I listen to this piece. I hope you enjoy it... ~Michael

You didn't know this, michael, but u put a lot of my feelings into the footage here(some of which goes back to my dancing days, as well as how i'm feeling now)..thank u. It said a lot to me. The music corresponded quite well too. Thanks for sharing some details of the music too; i'm aware of and have heard of david lanz music, but didn't know the story behind this particular piece.
