Anthony Davis on JJ Redick wanting him to shoot more 3's

Let’s be honest. Russ’s decline and poor performances made Frank Vogel into the Lakers true scapegoat. Frank was having AD put up 3 3s a game. He wasn’t just preaching defense with vibes. He did it with schemes. Lakers lost out on a great coach because of the Westbrook circus. Russ was equally ineffective for the Clippers and is going to go stink up the joint in Denver. That trade set the Lakers back YEARS.

I think JJ was always a fan of Joe Mazzulla and Boston's five out style. They proved it's effectiveness with their championship this year. It sounds like a really good idea for the Lakers to take pressure off their star players, namely Bron and AD. However, even if they somehow built a solid bench and started making a bunch of threes, I don't see them being able to beat the beacon of consistency that is the Celtics.

JJ's wright make them respect your three-point shot and that will make your game much more effective and make the team better and go farther in the playoffs you are the key it's time for you to dominate all around that's when the 3-point shot comes in and very important

Every time I look at this dude I get pissed about the lack or recognition he gets for what he does on the court. He might be as good at offense as he is at defense.

Him shooting more from distance takes away from his actual effectiveness on the court. It sounds like a terrible plan.

It doesn’t particularly matter how well he shoots them; if guys think he’s willing to take the 3’s with confidence it opens up the rest of AD’s game.
