I can't believe it. After 10 weeks post foot surgery I just learned I have been using my crutch the wrong side. Even my doctor did not say anything when he has seen me since surgery. Some doctors just don't really care. THANK YOU!

As with everyone else, no instructions are given to use crutches. Most people are not informed. This video should be given with every set. Balancing is my biggest problem. Elderly people should be considered for this and given a different devise to recover with. Thank you for this information.

No wonder i felt so unsafe using mines... the emergency room doctor only ask how tall i was. And clicked the crutch to my height. He didn't tell me to stand to measure... wow. Thanks so much ! Great info; this helped a ton

Just had knee surgery and they didn’t send me home with crutches or anything so now we’re having to find our own. I’ve never used them so I’m clueless in every single way possible. Thanks so much for this - and for making it so that we can clearly see which leg was injured in the video. Other vids I watched, they told which leg, but it didn’t translate well when watching them do the tasks. ❤

Excellent video. I was given crutches for a fractured ankle and not given much in the way of instruction. The crutches were too high and the handles too low. It was only after watching this that I realized the handles needed to be adjusted and I was leaning forward on the crutches when I should be standing straight up. After making those adjustments I was amazed at how much of a difference it made. I’m still not sure about the stairs as they scare the hell out of me.

You have no idea how much I appreciate you doing this easy to follow video. The doctor's office just wrote the prescription, didn't give these necessary instructions and very useful tips. No wonder why I kept hurting myself! I was doing it all wrong. Thanks for the sitting info. I didn't know that with NWB that I had to sit with my foot off the floor. Great tip on using the crutch like an ottoman. You rock!👍🌺😊

I have had a lot of anxiety about moving from a wheelchair to crutches. I tried a few times and just never had any luck feeling stable. I watched this video and found out that I was doing everything wrong. What a great help!

I needed this, I was given crutches in the emergency room yesterday & sent home with no instruction on how to use them. I was just told by my friend that my underarms shouldn't be in pain like they are from the crutches so I went to find a tutorial & found your video!

I've been CRAWLING up and down stairs when necessary, because I have no confidence that I will not fall! I asked at the doctor's office how to use crutches, and they couldn't help me. They saw me struggling with keeping my balance just going down the hall, and no help was offered. I have bad balance because of a tumor on my vestibular nerve. I'm just waiting to fall during the whole week (until I see the doctor) with no weight at all on my foot. Thank you so much for this video. Now I know what I am supposed to do. Now it's a matter if my body will cooperate and balance.

I have a recent surgery on right foot. ER nurse tried to help with crutches but i felt safer with balancing on walker. If they had instructed like this i would have been using the crutches instead. Going up and down steps has been such an issue i dont really go beyond the porch. Thank you for this video. Now i will give crutches a try.

Thank you so much. I had absolutely no instruction from my medical team on how to use my crutches. It's appalling. I learned from your video.

Great video. I just fractured my left ankle yesterday on the job. It’s been hell and extremely painful considering I live in a basement suite, alone. Definitely don’t realize how we take simple walking for granted. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you! :) I knew something wasn't right with how my crutches were adjusted, and I've been having a lot of difficulty using them. They feel much better now! :)

I told them at the hospital I didn't feel safe on crutches and I was given a frame ( no wheels) you lift and put down then hop forward. It is very tiring but I feel much more secure. Thank goodness I'm getting a knee scooter but once I'm partially weight bearing, I'll have to deal with crutches. Really appreciate this video.

Thank you very much for your instruction!! I've been using crutches for a few days now due to pain in tendon. My problem with crutches was how to keep foot off ground completely, and your video really helped - thank you. It looks easy but doing it is a real balance act!

Thank you for making this. I am getting ready to have my second foot surgery in 4 months. Using my crutches the first time made my arms very tired and now I see why. This time I will work to use them correctly! 😀

What a great video! I'm older and have weak upper body and core strength. I fell twice using crutches so had to use a walker instead. After three weeks of the walker (and sore muscles), I was strong enough to balance with the crutches. This video was helpful after my ankle surgery.

This is a great video that really showed me how to walk (and what NOT to do when walking) on crutches. I am off my feet for a week with a sprained knee and this is my first time on crutches. Thanks for this video!
