I love thrifting!! The pieces are more unique. Often in fast fashion stores I turn my head and someone has the same piece in the hand. Nothing wrong with that, but I have the feeling everyone is looking the same though. But tbh from time to time it is still ok to buy fast fashion as long as the quality is good and you keep the piece like forever and take care of it. But in terms of fashionability it’s the worst 🤌

My best friend, who works in the fashion industry, loves to do the 100 day challenge with a merino wool garment from Wool&. Essentially, you have to wear that garment every day for 100 days. It shows that one good quality piece from your closet can be worn many different ways.

I really believe this too. I’m not even interested in the “fashion icon” part but more so developing my own unique style. It just sucks bc I can’t afford it! The balance of investing in decent more expensive things and buying fast fashion when I can’t afford the latter has gotten so much worse in the last few yrs. Everything is either polyester synthetic garbage for an ever growing price or beautiful garments that are fucking astronomical. Thrifting has been polluted by all the fast fashion too so finding things there is pretty hard as well. My favorite articles of clothing are stuff my mother passed down to me that I know I could never find/afford today. I’m stumped and bummed about what to do honestly.
