I have so many questions… left unanswered

Why the dish soap?
How much salt?
Is the water boiling before putting the material or just hot or very hot?
How much time does the material need to be in there?

What color was the shirt before dying?  Does color before make a difference in color after or time simmered?

I have a question about dyeing large amounts of white shirts... do you have any idea how I might approach that or perhaps an idea of a potential formula to do so. I have 120.white shirts i'd like to.dye other colors by groups of 10-20... please help?

There is no way that pot holds 3 gallons of water. What kind of tutorial is this?

This is hardly a tutorial? The amount of water is the only quantity given. Not really helpful at all.
