Rit Dye 101 - Color Remover

THIS STUFF SMELLS VERY STRONG.

I would advise you to have THOROUGH ventilation when using this product. It works very well, but my entire apartment REEKS and the smell will not leave.

Rit Dyed my 50/50 cotton polyester work shirt...and it didn't come out rite. 2 packs of Rit Color Remover, brought it back to it's original color in no time at all. thanks Ms. Rit :)

Hi Ashley, Color remover can work quickly, especially when used on something dyed with Rit. This might take only a minute, or it could take 10-15 minutes, depending on how much you want it to lighten. You'll want to watch it while you're doing it, stirring to have the color remove evenly, and take it out and rinse it as soon it's the color you want. Depending what the graphic design is made of, there is a chance it might also lighten the design so watch for that too.

Thanks for the video! I think Rit colour remover will solve my problem. I bought a 100% cotton casual shirt that was supposed to be off-white, but when it came it was too yellow. I want to kill the yellow but not make the shirt pure white, I'm going to try the Rit, keeping an eye on the colour, making sure it doesn't get too white. Thanks!

this product is the freakin best, especially for people like me that is picky about shades and stuff, like i only like light pink so this is a life saver product. now i can buy things in any shade of pink and change it up.

Have you ever used this on denim? I have a pair of light blue jeans which I want to dye grey, but I wasn't sure whether this would work on the blue colour of the denim?

Wow!! Very good... only thing is... I want to remove the color from a queen size duvet and it won't fit in a pan! Any suggestions?

Does this work well on canvas material? I recently dyed white shoes pink for a play I was in, and now I need to dye them yellow for a cosplay. Will it make the shoes completely white again?

Nowhere on any of Rit's web pages, or the instruction packet, does it tell you how much to use per pound of fabric.

I dyed the suede parts of my daughter’s sneakers to try to cover up some paint stains and now she hates the look- will this remove the suede dye I used? Whitish sneakers with brown suede dye. Thanks for the advice

I bleached my white shoes and now they look super yellow. They're white fabric material, would this product take the yellow over bleached color out?

Hi Rit, I used color remover on a 100% cotton suit and It didn't really do much. The temp was around 180 degrees I agated it with spoons and then rinsed after 30 minutes and It didn't take out any color. Suggestions?

I tie dyed a graphic t and the dye is a little too dark to see the graphic design, how long should I leave it in if I just want the dye to lighten up?

Do you have to wash the shirt before dying it another color? Or can you just rinse and start dying another color?
