Thanks for watching.

The wood used was kiln dried Beech.
This video is not my usual kind of thing and was really just a practice piece and an experiment, it should have waited till Halloween but I am not very patient like that. Normal service will be resumed shortly.
This goblet is for decorative purposes only and is not for use with food and drink

Always wear a proper dust mask and a visor.

Lovely goblet. Would make for a neat Halloween decoration indeed. I love the wonky shapes of the drips and that you let them be on the foot

Thank you Jim for a fun project and I thought your spindle turning was perfect. I like the little tool rest for use when tidying up the inside of the goblet. When I turn an item now I can't wait until I get to the point where I use the Yorkshire grit.
Best wishes,
Alan.

Brilliant! I love it! Would be brilliant for Halloween or murder mystery party's 😊 I think you should make a wood & milliput jewellery box with pinks and golds one day! Then put it in your Etsy shop & I'll buy it along with everything else

28:30 But does it stick to the oily wax finish?

You might be able to turn it and sand it with a vacuum catchment and a good dust mask. Would be interesting to see if it works with Mulliput. Might be a fun way to add life to a Halloween jack o lantern! Thanks for sharing!

Man, I just love all the materials and stuff you have to play with, different type epoxies and glow in the dark powders and what not... :) Also, it didn't seem like you were out of practice in spindle turning... but maybe I'm just terrible at it and my standard is different! :) That dripping out really came out nice, I didn't think it will look like that from the viscosity it showed when you applied it. Thank you for sharing, too bad you won't play with it again, would have loved to see where you were going to take it :)
