I'm from Russia and I've been watching your channel for a long time. Baba Yaga is a character in fairy tales, all children know her and she is not always evil. I was surprised and very glad that you made it!

She is unusual she is unique and she is rather special in Slavic folklore. She can be considered evil, usually if the children are naughty and she is considered a protector of sorts if her story is told to good little children. I always put her in the category of Hansel and Gretels fairytale. She can be both good/bad. I think it is awesome that you are stepping into the awesome world of folklore ❤
Love your work!

The twigs in the hair were an absolutely genius move, added so much oomph IMO.

Great work! I agree with a lot of the comments, though. Baba Yaga isn't necessarily an evil character; she's a force of nature, in a way. The thing that lurks in the forest. Punishes the naughty and those who disrespect nature, but fair to those who follow the "rules".
One of my favorite story books as a wee kid was "Babushka Baba Yaga" where she dresses up as a babushka grandma and cares for a boy and his single mother, but is found out and has to flee, but comes back to save the boy from wolves. It's not a traditional tale of her, but is still fun.

VERY cool and so detailed! Ace!

Tip for those who can't find/afford the scenic stuff making material.
1. Sawdust blended with green acrylic paint! mix it in a pot and keep stirring til its dry. Once the paint dries the sawdust will be green and you can keep it in a bag, just smoosh it about to get it sprinkle like in textures. Do several different coloured batches as nature is, as we know, more than just one green!
2. Moss! Look up x-mas decorations! They have all kinds of fun and useful diorama stuff that can be picked apart to be re-used elsewhere.
3. Sand! Really, you can just buy plain pay sand OR scoop it up from the driveway etc. Sprea it on a plate and bake it for one hour on 100C in the oven . This will kill off any germs. If you want to, wash it with soap first. Store in a good lid container afterwards.
4. Rocks. Well, use stones and clean them off. I also found that various confir trees - spruce in particular, have thick rough bark that can be basecoated black and then various crybrushing stages can give some darn fine stone textures. Do bake the raw bark first to kill off any germs, bugs and bad stuff.
5. Hair. Well, use some yarn. Do a search on doll wig making here on You tube and improvise from there. It is really remarkable how useful it can be to do some "cross pollination" from many hobbies.

Happy crafting to all you creative souls!

Fantastic, brought her alive. I'd also like to ask for her house as well. 👏👏👏

Baba Yaga looks Incredible!! Have you ever tried making her House with chicken legs? You can make her house by using something else besides clay like Popsicle sticks,
charms, fake grass rocks, & moss, fake spider webs, nets. See you next time.

Originally Baba Yaga was pictured as young-looking goddess protecting forests and the other world. Diorama turned out amazing 😍✨

You actually made her pretty recognizable. She looks like Baba Yaga, even without her bast shoes. Good job.

Dude, a great wee challenge for you would be the Nightbreed characters especially Shuna Sassi and Peloquin

Thanks for making a folklore character for us! The way you build her sculpture is so unique and special. For me, she is a unforgetable part of my childhood memories. Sometimes, some short stories with her images still fresh in my mind!! Thanks again for bringing my memory back!
