I think he stormed off into his room bc Kaufmo was his best friend and he got abstracted so he went into his room to proberly cry there but he proberly feels uncomfortable feeling sad infront of the others as he is always happy. Who agrees ❤

In the official episode 2, Jax walked away as if he didn't want to show his emotions to other people as if he really cared for Kaufmo.

So, i have a theory on this, it goes like this: Jax maybe cared for Kaufmo and since we have that dialogue from Jax that said: 'I have keys to every room' (from the Pilot episode), maybe since he has keys to everyone's room, he maybe wanted to escape with Kaufmo and Queenie (the other one that got abstracted), but since they both abstracted, he is maybe keeping the keys around for another occasion, when Jax gets along with new members that will maybe join the circus.

(I may or not stole some parts in this theory, but I don't know who the original dude or guy that made some parts of this theory)

Judging by the concept, Jax is crying not because he misses Kaufmo, but because he did not apologize before scattering him for tearing up the drawing and pushing him away from the decision to look for a way "exit".
