It depends on body type. Because me and my husband has different body type. He adds more raw vegetables and fruits in his diet because it suits his body and i consume less salads but more dairy products and ghee etc. Because if I do not consume dairy products then i loose waight rapidly. My skin and eyes becomes dry and b12, D, Ca deficiency. My body type is vata and his kupha.

Two of my favourite YouTubers together. This is such an important question that has been haunting us for some time. It would have been good to elaborate on the last part on Omega 3 and 6 and the sources and differences between them - for non medical folks 😊

Genetics is super important. I know Bengalis eating a sweet in every meal and still living close to 80-100 years. If I do it, my belly fat appears within days

While ghee has long been considered a staple in many diets, it's crucial to recognize that not all ghee is created equal. Modern ghee production often involves cows subjected to hormones, confined living conditions, and unethical practices, which can significantly impact the nutritional value and ethicality of the product. Studies show that ghee from industrial dairy farms can have elevated levels of harmful trans fats, which may contribute to heart diseases, cancers and inflammation.

On the flip side, traditionally made ghee—from cows that are hormone-free, grass-fed, and treated like part of the family—can be much healthier. Such ghee is richer in omega-3 fatty acids and CLA (conjugated linoleic acid), which have anti-inflammatory properties. However, finding truly ethical, hormone-free ghee in today’s market is very rare and expensive. So, while ghee can be healthy, it’s important to question where your ghee comes from. Simply put, the ghee of today isn’t the same as the ghee from your grandmother's time.

When we mass-produce dairy, not only do we compromise on health, but we also contribute to environmental degradation. Industrial dairy is a major contributor to greenhouse gases, and it takes significant resources to produce. So, while ghee may have traditional roots, it’s crucial to understand the sustainability angle in today’s world. Choosing plant-based alternatives can help reduce both health risks and the environmental footprint! 🌍

Omega 3 fatty acid is not synthesised by vertebrates. It is synthesised by a few plants, but mostly by phytoplankton. All others including zooplankton, and fish that depend on eating plankton, fish that eat these fish all pass it up the nutrition chain to meet essential body requirements. Working on this hypothesis it was reasonable to expect that warm water fish should also be getting it from their food. On checking on an Indian Major Carp, the Catla catla which feeds largely on zooplankton, should have omega 3 in their body fats, I found that there was a confirmatory research paper. Anyway most Indians have never tasted cold water marine fish, nor taken a capsule of O-3. Yet they remain by and large healthy. I believe that this promotion of cold water marine fish like salmon etc as source of omega 3 is also a commercially driven science. It is unfortunately repeated by Indian nutritionists.

Is there a Difference in Commercial Ghee (Made from Milk Solids / Milk Fat (vs ) Ghee Made at Home the traditional way from Butter?

A discussion without a conclusion. Saturated fat is good - all the 'commercially motivated science' have created the confusion. Ghee, Coconut Oil, Butter, Lard, Tallow all are good. Commercially processed seed oils are bad as they create inflammation.

"Commercially motivated science". That is the term I was looking for.

So
V can do LP(a) test which indicates genetic heart problem is there or not n if no rizk is there, then probably slightly above moderate ghee can be taken.

I am not gonna lie. My both grandparents mom and dad side lived for 90+ years.
I've never seen them consuming protein. Moderate amount of ghee and oil and sweet only for fastival times.
They were most hardworking member of the family. Never seen doctor but only before 3, 4 years of their death. No complaints of joint pain, fever or any other serious health issues.
I don't think they were lucky or anything but as per my personal experience and what I've seen around me, people are unnecessarily promoting protine powder, suppliments or anything else we see today.

We Indians before tv, were eating chapati drenched in oil or ghee for centuries. In Andhra and tamilnadu, rice with dal was topped with ghee.
In karnataka with ragi balls, a spoon of ghee would flavour it. In Punjab ghee is a part of them. Keratitis use coconut oil. Ground nut oil was consumed. Not the refined but chalki oil. All was going well. When Americans intruded with their sunflower and corn products thar we people have lost our health.

Is ghee good or bad for cardio vascular, heart, strokes, etc, are there any scientific studies, not asking from ayurvedic perspective. If moderate amount is ok, what is that amount, how should it be taken, need clear answers.

So in the end, after all that gut gene studies which might take forever, ayurveda already tells you that your nutrition should go according to your body type..
All has already been studied in the past and realised that you should eat as according to kosha and dosha!!!

It seems to me that there is not much conclusion here. This said, in general these two YouTubers talking on other subjects are very interesting, strange that they fail with ghee...

2. Sugar is sugar in any form Jaggery, white/ brown/palm/ coconut sugar.
