What's with the guy hanging decorations while a melting cake sits nearby? Who unrolls a yoga mat just to sit on it and read a book? How come a man carries his own chair to the beach, but decides to sit on some uncomfortable rocks instead? And what does this sentence mean? "Amazon's made some thoughtful tweaks. For starters, the new version sports a more responsive and notepad like look. Especially in it's tungsten green color which gives it that fancy notebook vibe." Nonsense.

Thanks :). I just purchased a Scribe on sale and was thinking of returning it. If the new features may come to the older model I want to keep it. I only paid $240 for it new :)

Downloaded the new software. No need to buy the new device if you have the original. I would wait for the next generation. If you do not have a Scribe and want an e-ink note taker, it is certainly worth your consideration and the price is decent given how expensive these things are.

I pre-ordered the 2022 Bundle when it first came out, and the price was the same for the 2024 tablet. Honestly, I would only upgrade if a version came out with color highlights for PDFs and books and allowed images/graphs/tables/charts to be shown in the books.

Frankly, I'm a bit disappointed in the new Kindle Scribe. Nearly all of the benefit is in the software and that could have been done entirely as an update. The newer hardware barely justifies spending the money unless you don't already own a Scribe. No split screen capability. I don't see any mention of improving file sharing capability beyond email. Have they done anything to improve on the embedded web browser? The current browser is still labeled as a 'beta' version. It's been 'beta' for two years now!

The Kindle Scribe is a good device for reading and basic notes, but has so much more untapped potential. Meanwhile, products like the Boox Note Air 3c, the monochrome Note Air 3, the Boox Go 10.3 and the SuperNote A6x2 are stealing the show in almost every category of form and function.

- You mention 'the pen improved'. That's the pen! Not the main device. Just buy a new pen!
- You mention 'better software'. That software. Not the device. If you'd did your homework, you'd know that's a bad way to treat customers and you would find it worth mentioning.
