This totally worked! - Eventually... for some reason my unit wouldn't factory reset for the first three attempts - who knows why. I'm amazed that Netgear themselves don't make videos like this - This is the best, and only source of information for this router I found anywhere online. Win!

Very, very good!. I'd tried doing this before, but this is the FIRST time I had good instructions. Measuring connection speeds throughout the process:
> Standing in front of the wifi router ~ 60MBPS.
> Using a NETGEAR EX3700 extender in different points through the house: ~ 20-40Mbps.
> Using the EX3700 as an AP ~100Mbps.

Thanks for the great instructions! I had one of these sitting in the closet and was finally able put it to use as an AP after pulling some ethernet to cure a weak ring doorbell video signal. You saved me some skrilla over having to buy a consumer AP.

If you use this as an access point, do you have to have a network cable from the router to this? Or can you use it wirelessly and plug another router into the access point? Thanks for the great video.

Is it possible to have multiple EX3700s as access points for the same SSID? Say I want an AP upstairs, downstairs and in the garage. Can they all be configured so I don’t have to have three different networks in the house?

Okay what about adding another AC750 in another location to get the WIFI and boost the the coverage in another room. Can you link the two together? so you can get better coverage? Please if you would let me know how I can do this.

Bro, I have setup as an access point connecting the extender with my secondary router but now I can not find the 5G network, only the extender shows 2.4 G. What might have gone wrong?

If I bought 2 wifi extenders to set up as access points and connect each of them to the router with their own ethernet cables, can I can set both up at once in the browser or do I have have to do it one at a time? My inlaws router is in the corner of the basement. The wifi is poor upstairs at the other end of the house.

OK I want to setup this thing but how am I supposed to open up a web page when connected to it but it doesn't give internet access ??? If I connect to the internet via another route then the website just keeps spitting out a screen that says i have to connect to the unit . Once i do then i don't have internet access anymore ?!??!

When using the Netgear EX3700 as an access point, you need to connect the Netgear AP to your router with a cable, correct? I couldn't tell by the video if the Netgear AP needed to be connected to a computer, PS4, etc., or your router via cable.

Not working for me. I don't know why, but as soon as I plug in my ethernet the setup screen disappears. And then when I type in the mywifiext address, I get this error message. "You are not connected to your extender's WiFi network." There's already an extender connected, and for some reason another router? I don't know, it's really frustrating the hell out of me.
