What was this video shot on? Looks great. I'd be curious to know how the IBIS on this system compares to the Canon R5 and what makes the a1 worth the $2500 more it costs than the Canon R5.

Congrats goes out to all the winners. Just being part of this channel makes us all winners of a sort. Thanks to Tony and Chelsea for getting with the engineers on the Sony A1. In the past I know they have worked with Canon, Nikon and I believe Fuji as well. The goal here is to make these devices work as advertised which means that we the consumers all win. Speaking of winning all you need to do is look for my name on any contest giveaway. I could not win a case of the flu if that was the prize. Lol. So if you see my name on the list, jump on in there. ROFLAO. Really though we need to support more channels like this so that the manufacturers of these devices are made to stick more to their claims various claims of autofocus, frames per second, and resolution in both stills and video.

The 30 FPS thing makes sense with 3rd party lenses. Most (all?) 3rd party lenses don't use Sony focusing algorithms resulting is focus speed issues with stills and especially video.
It's be the same as expecting the R5 to focus with the old 30 year olf EF mount lenses as well as they do with the new ones, or the RF.
Even worse, take the canon 85 1.2 focusing speed and put it on the R5, I bet you won't see high FPS with focus, or MANY MANY dropped shots.

Honestly thought the correction was going to be to the issues outlined in the A1 preview video. That were erroneous and given how technically accurate your videos normally are it should have covered all. Virtually every review thus far has said ~1hr 30 mins 8k video until either battery drain or overheat. With a dumb battery there is no limit. On a positive note it was a nice surprise to know it is virtually perfect and will be my next 📷👌
