I love that you try to find your personal style and you should always wear what makes you happy. (even if you call it basic haha) My issue with your outfit is not that the pants are little bit oversized, but actually the jacket seems not a perfect fit... and that makes the whole look unnecessary baggy. As a rule of thumb (and as a short girl myself) one loose fitted thing, is chill, more than one just seems like you're wearing up the things your bigger brother gave you.
