For those who have a weird LG TV, repeat the power on process several times if the controls still do not work properly. I turned the TV on and off three times before discovering the right setup code. Go through the power on and off a few times before hitting the volume up step. We have an LG 65uj6300 and this video worked wonders after a few extra attempts. Thank you!
