I would say the tractor would need to be factory.. If it's modified them It's not the same factory tractor.. Anyone can fix up something and break record's..

Much as I like Guy, I don't really like this JCB effort. It is taking the opportunity away from 'amateurs' (and I don't mean that in a disrespectful manner) like the outfit who had the record before. Which was an American chap using an old tractor, just modified to the max on a budget which would have been a tiny fraction of what JCB spent. How are people like that going to be able to reply to the JCB record?, they can't, they have neither the budget nor the resources. Kind of spoils it for the 'little guy'. If Guy had done it himself, in his own workshop, that would have been much better, and had he broken the record, it wouldn't have been by a huge margin. This would then encourage the American chap, and others like him, to have a go themselves to try and beat it.
