Today I surprised the guests of an Italian restaurant but I didn't expect that 2 insanely talented opera singers would join me 🤯

In 1999 a similar thing to this happened on the last evening of our honeymoon in Sorrento. Small cafe terrace in one of the alleys with wonderful acoustics for a lone tenor singing unaccompanied, spontaneously, a selection of popular arias. Possibly the most magical thing that could have happened to us and now a coveted memory. My wife has dementia and cannot remember things from a few minutes ago but this is one memory that still lingers and brings her much pleasure. Long may it remain.❤

Tears again. I just found you tonight. This was wonderful!! I'll be back... Just too sad to listen to right now. My 32 year old, strong, healthy daughter, a beautiful soul and beautiful as well, had her Masters in Opera Performance, sang for Florida Grand Opera for 3 years, was about to audition for the Lyric when God decided He needed her more. She passed suddenly, without warning, and, by His Grace, quickly, of a ruptured aneurysm in her brain. She'd been singing since she was ten and studied and practiced with a fierceness that one needs to make it in the highly competitive world of opera. Her final concert, at age 32, was all Wagner and Strauss which so impressed them in Chicago that they wanted to hear her live. She was preparing her program with her vocal instructor when she passed two months before going up. This was just two years ago and the waves of grief still come and go. Having one now. I'll be back soon. I look forward to hearing more. This one took me out.

I worked a restaurant where one of the owners brought in a professional opera singer to surprise her husband for his birthday one night. Our regular piano player as well as staff were in on it. As lead server I was told to stop service when signaled and bring the singer up to the piano which was in the middle of the place. She did La Habanera and was magnificent. I stood there and wept at the beauty. Truly memorable ❤

I watched the video about 99 times in a row. Beyond great. I love this song. Sometimes when I'm home alone, I scream and sing like this guy. I have a really beautiful voice 😅😅😅
