I read somewhere that rem sleep is when your body repair and maintains neural pathways. During this time you experience flashes of memory/thought and you interpret this in dream

For me, dreams have always been important indicators of the direction my life is going in or will take. A lot of my most pivotal and important decisions and life changes were made after an intense dream that either accurately depicted what would happen if I don't or an abstract event that relates to my situation that helps me better understand how to maneuver. I'm not saying I can see the future of that I have some powers. After speaking to many people about this and trying to find correlation, I've noticed people do experience something similar to me. I think dreams serve well to help you direct and understand your life

i think dreams are like mental training grounds where you learn to make decisions in certain hypothetical situations, you can learn from them. Helps heal the way you think and help you make the right choices in future. Some dreams are horrific and they’re there to train you in future when horrific things happen.

I was thinking the reason you dream is because since you've been awake for a long time the brain starts to form its own reality in making the dream, basically the brain hallucinating reality due to not seeing it anymore while resting. I assumw it tries to make you still somewhat conscious and alert just in case something life threatening happens to you in absence of alertness in reality. Form of keeping you alert to survive by hallucinating reality.

I completely agree with this guy. It's very rare for something to have no use and when it does it's usually a remanent of something that used to be useful. Dreams have been observed across many species there's little chance it's stuck around through so much evolution of it had no use

For one mother nature didn't create dreams or the body. Your starting from the wrong beginning. Good created man and we are created to connect to him and live a blessed life and to bless others.❤

I feel like dreaming is a form of practicing for real life using your own experiences and fears. Your fears are things you’ve seen or were told about. And think about. And your dreams are a way to prepare yourself for certain scenarios that stress you and are afraid of, making you more prepared then something that can’t dream.

I once read a theory that said, when our vision stay inactive for too long part of our brain that is responsible of seeing begins to shrink. So dreams are there so you simulate your brains vision part to save it from being harmed

Dreams just make sleep memorable, if you don't dream it just feels like you closed your eye and wake up, you feel physically energized but it doesn't feel like it came from the sleep unless you dream due to sleep feeling instant, but dreaming can make sleep feel like a long time. It's the bodies way of easing the stress of trying to live....

When we dream, we go into other realms of existence & we also go into different dimensions. We're literally exploring the multiverse
