ANSYS specific FLEXlm error codes

1. Run "Server ANSLIC_ADMIN utility" (as administrator)
2. Click "Stop the ANSYS, Inc. License Manager"
3. Click "Start the ANSYS, Inc. License Manager"
4. Click "Reread the License Manager Setting"
5. Click "Set the License Preference for User '...' "

This information is more detailed and helps me to solve this problem on my own.

1. Press Start Button in Windows
2. Find the folder Ansys 15.0 (or any version).
3. Open "ANSYS Client Licensing"
4. Run as Administrator "Client ANSLIC_ADMIN Utility 15.0 ...."
5. In Tools Menu, select "complete unfinished licensing installation configuration"
6. Wait and then write your hostname
7. That's all.

Hi, in my ANSLIC_ADMIN utility i only have 5 options:

Launch the ANSYS license management center;
Specify the license server machine;
Set licence preferences for user user;
Set site preferences;
View status/Diagnostic options

What should i do?

I always got a message that said "Framework error caught", or experienced license issues.
The only solution that worked for me was to re-setup my windows and using it offline (without Microsoft sync at the end of the Win setup), then giving a windows username without any special characters.
That way it works without a single problem.

When I try to upgrade from 16.0 to 16.2 I get the following error: "There was a problem determining the date of the license files"

it's not accepting license file and it shows that * the host name value in the license file dose not match the host name value in the machine*
