English Lessons for Displaced Women

United Nations, February 2014 - Since December 2013, more than 80 women from Abu Shouk camp for internally displaced people in North Darfur enrolled in an English language course supported by UNAMID police advisers.

As part of their own initiative, police officers provided school materials including chalk, blackboard, books and pencils, and facilitated two voluntary teachers from the camp.
