I remember this problem being identified on this page a while before Mbappe joined

Madrid chased Mbappe for years and never thought to figure out a solution for this? LoL

I called this before the transfer. You can't have them together because they are identical

Most people saw this coming, now all we can do is wait and see can the players mostly Vini Jr. or Mbappe can adapt. Since they both are two of the best players in the world they should be able to.

Exactly my prediction when they signed Mbappe. He's going to need to be a 9 like Ronaldo did in his early days at Madrid under Pellegrini.

Everyone knew this would be an issue aswell like 2 years ago

RM bought him for the business not for the team. Realistically, they could've just bought more defenders and extra upfront players, they could've still win without Mbappe. They especially need someone that can play that Bellingham role. So, far maybe Wirtz could play that role, or Kudus. Honestly, I knew they would struggle tactically. Because Mbappe is not a natural CF. Even in his Monaco days, he always played at the sides.

They are getting penalties every la liga game.

There was a time Madrid were famous for getting big name players they didn't need, that's basically what the first Galacticos were.

Then they became extremely savvy in the last years.

But they couldn't resist going back to the old ways with Mbappe. And I wouldn't be surprised if they force Ancelotti to play him.

My concern is actually Mbappe's accuracy in front. He isn't converting the chances he is getting

Here's the thing, EVERYONE SAW THIS COMING!!!! But here's the other thing, Carlo Ancelotti makes his bread by adapting the team system to play to his players' strengths. He'll come up with a solution which, in hindsight, will seem like it should have always been obvious. And from what I think I know about footy and from what I've seen, the solution might show itself once the Vini and Mbappe combination play really clicks. And to me the solution is starting in midfield, Fede is now looking more secure and safe on the ball, Jude is reverting to being an all action midfielder, Mbappe is regaining his confidence and looking like he's starting to add variety in where he drops off to when he leaves the box, the RB offering width on the other flank, and Vini is starting to play more direct whereas the RW is given free roam to add chaos.

Thats why never compare mbappe to Ronaldo..ronaldo came to save Madrid while mbappe came to save his career also Ronaldo was a rw and cam in Manchester and to make Madrid better he shifted his role as lw and st

If only someone predicted this. I told my RM fan friend that Mbappe could be a game changer for Real snd take them to a new level, but in my opinion he'd make more problems.

I would have held off on this analysis until it was a legit problem going into November. They’re figuring it out. The Stuttgart match earlier this week and the Espanyol match yesterday afternoon, they look MUCH more fluid. Mbappé has to learn he’s not a LW anymore. He’s going to have to play this number 9 role and commit to it. He’s going to have to remember they’ll be games with his back to goal and he’ll have to distribute to create the attack on goal. Right now I wouldn’t call it a “problem” because it’s September. Carlo Ancelotti and his son Davide figured out how to play last season without a number 9, they’ll figure this out.

The real problem isn’t getting in each others way. It’s actually that clubs are presenting them with the challenge of flooding the box early and being very very compact. If you’ve watched the games, that’s been the real problem but they always end up finding a way to score. They’re wearing teams down that are fully committed to parking the bus. They are catching teams on the counterattack. I think they’ll improve. It’s September and the season is very very long. The Espanyol game yesterday, they had a lot of crosses.
