Swapping Windows registries

Today I am going to swap registries between Windows XP and Windows 10 and see what happens! Initially I thought that experiment wasn't fun, but then I viewed a few payloads for myself and decided to upload that video.

the "tampering detected" error must be the rarest error in xp, like "dangerously low resources" in 9x and "start menu not working" in newer versions

Makes me wonder what other rare errors exist across different Windows - other ways of triggering a license violation error and stuff. That might be a fun video to explore and end up learning from

This video is actually helpful because Windows Setup keeps posing a lot of errors on my attempts of installing windows. I actually followed the steps including tampering the registry, I didn't knew that was not required and it just caused my system to crash, forcing me to reinstall windows once again.

This reminds me of a time when I ran something from Windows 3.1x on NT 4.0 (maybe the 16-bit regedit?) Anyway it also resulted in some duplicate entries anytime you right-clicked any file. Ever since then I’ve been awfully careful in what I run in dual boot configurations.
