Thank you pastor David. It's through tears I type this today. I am fighting depression something terrible. I needed this teaching this morning. There is no other teacher that touches my soul like you do. Thank you for posting the words on the screen too. I am a visual learner. I would cry out all the time hear me God I felt like david I understand my Jesus more than ever I would cry when I wad young to learn more about God Jesus the holy spirit but my catholic church never let me read the word of God for me to understand to find my purpose my peace I need to live to have raith believe in God you are helping me so much I go to work 2 hours to study then see your utube and you are from God thank you. I have a long list of troubles daily but I see that too, that lots of reasons to be thankful for His mercy and even if I do not see the reason for my difficulties, I trust He knows and He will get me through them some day.

I particularly like what you said about being thankful for our salvation, even if we are in the worst situation, our salvation is worth thanking God abundantly for. Well and we live in a world of immediate gratification. We are impatient and unwise.

I was listening to Scripture on my Bible app while working yesterday because I've dealt with fear and anxiety for so long and so much, and yesterday I was in that once again, a strong feeling of anxious thoughts, worries, fear. I add the scriptures going in the background just to hopefully absorb some of it through the day and gain encouragement. Most didn't register with me however this verse stuck out to me out of all of them. Because of where it talks about anxious concerns. So are we visited it this morning and my time with the Lord and then continued in my normal reading which was in Matthew 26 and I got to verse 40 I believe it was that talks about Jesus going to pray and asking the disciples to stay awake and they couldn't keep their eyes open. It was very clear to me that the Lord was making a connection between Psalms 13 where it says enlightened my eyes otherwise I will sleep in death and then where it says in Matthew 26 that the disciples couldn't keep their eyes open. I'm not exactly sure what that connection is yet. But I'm seeking it out and asking the Lord for more insight, wisdom and revelation.

I feel God is hiding from me.
My stupid heart said that is because God wants to avoid me.
The truth is that God is hiding His anger after I avoided Him, hiding from Him to commit sin.
Hence my wise heart said, "who is hiding from whom then really?"
We left from God's presence whenever we feel we don't want Him.
And we cry out for Him when we need His presence.
What's wrong with me?
Sin, that's what's wrong, your sin...
If not for God's mercy, I am done for.


Give thanks to God; for His mercy endureth forever...
