You really nailed a description of my current life circumstances - no family speaking to me, old, disabled, broke & homeless. Spending the pension I planned to leave in my will to my grandchildren just so the cats & I have a motel room as the 3 of us living on the street in a 1995 Dodge Neon just wouldn't work well. Delaware social services is useless. In 7+ months all they did was give me one $23 SNAP card which they expected to feed me for 3 months. I don't even know anywhere these days where you could eat for 3 days with $23. Without my faith in God and the 39+ years of sobriety He blessed me with I would be an overdose waiting to happen.
