Anytime I want to feel like I'm in France, I go to Old Montreal and walk the cobblestone streets and admire the old buildings.

I love this video! Frankly, when travel was not an option this year, my husband and i celebrated my birthday with a cheese board, wine, Rick Steves and walk through videos in Paris. Haha! Happy to see we’re not alone.

My husband and I have a few French bakeries that we go to and when I bite into a beautifully made croissant it takes me right back to Paris. And you're so right about being outside and how it lifts our spirits. The French know how to live that's for sure!

I have been to France many times because I live in Spain for the last 9 years. In my case beauty for me is the small things like going down to the bakery right under my home where they know my name, picking up my bread and having a nice chat with the ladies who work there ask them how their day is, talk about the weather or anything really. Meeting a friend after work for a glass of wine or cooking a nice meal at home 🥰

I think the biggest key to French beauty is confidence, and self-acceptance. This reflects in the minimal makeup, curated wardrobe etc. Nothing in excess except confidence!

I agree bringing things of beauty into our lives even little things like antique jewelry or drinking glasses👍👍👍really inspires. Yes I’ve been to Paris about 9 times, it’s my favorite city. A couple more ways I bring French aesthetic into my life has been working as an Esthetician for many years using French skincare of course, wearing French perfume, cooking crepes, using beautiful China daily, reading French novels, and I have French artwork in my home, a Picasso painting, and others. I visited Paris in 2012 and it definitely inspired me. What I really loved about the city is its slower pace. I've visited a few really big cities (NYC and DC come to mind) and Paris just really does have a vibe all its own. When I got home I swore to keep that feeling going. One thing I noticed there was the way that people were just enjoying their lives every single day. Like going out for dinner isn't just a weekend thing. People are out at cafes, in parks, or sitting by the Seine just sipping coffee and watching life go by. I love to find hidden parks in my city and watch the world around me. This can also apply to weeknight entertaining. Parisians might whip up a very simple meal of chicken roasted with potatoes, a bottle of wine, a salad, a hunk of cheese, and a dessert picked up from the patisserie. Keep it simple and enjoy the company of your friends!

My hometown is not picturesque, but there is a lovely cafe that I’ve gone to since I was a child. I stop by during my lunches and have a pastry and coffee while I work on drawings in my sketch book. It feels very French to me 💕

I like to get a French pastry at my farmer’s market on Wednesdays. I like the hot coffee and pastry idea too. We have a wonderful French cafe/bakery in Fresno, California called La Boulangerie ❣️🥰💕💕💕
