Thank you for recommending Garland Jeffreys. I listened to Spanish Town and it is quite amazing, so I'll be looking into his music. I was so impressed by that one, that I checked out Close Lobsters too...Love the title to this "All Compasses Go Wild". Great sound, nice and solid jangle pop at it's best. Great cover on that album. It's cool to see Elvis Costello on the Deustche Grammophone label. Great contest entry....good luck!

I'll have a video up in a few days. I thought about using Ghosteen as well but I've also decided to do something else for the Ghost part of the contest. I don't know the Close Lobsters.

Why do so many jangle pop groups come out of Scotland...Garland Jeffreys is quite underrated, dabbles in a fair bit of reggae on some of his albums around this time as I recall. Heard a lot of good things about the Bear Family label (maybe from you) but so far I think I only have one reggae releases that they put out on a sub label called Cree Records. There's one other they did that I've seen around town and been meaning to get but have not as yet. Never seen that Hollies album, the cover reminds me of Distant Light though which came out shortly before, that was a good album. Nice entry, cheers!
