Don’t Touch the Camel’s Red Thing | The Dulla

Показать описание
Camels 🐪are one of the most amazing animals😍, they live in the desert and they, apparently have evolved specifically for that. At least that’s what it seems like.
But recent discoveries show that camels actually originated in North America 44 million years ago, then migrated to Asia, Africa where they continued the breeds we know today of Dromedary (the one with one hump 🐪) and Bactrian (the one with two humps 🐫), and South America where they evolved into Llamas, Guanacos, Alpacas and Vicuñas.
These new studies show that all the characteristics that we used to attribute to “protection for the sand” evolved originally as protection for the snow! 😳🤯, their big feet, the fur, the triple eyelid, the closing nostrils, etc… how unexpected is that.
Anyhow, if you watch the video you are probably still wondering why we should not touch the red thing on their mouth (the Dulla) and the reason is this:
Male camels inflate their Dulla like that only in December, because December is mating season, so when they show their Dulla is usually the time when the camel is extra aggressive and sensitive, and if you touch it, he might bite you.
I hope you learned a bit from this video, I sure learned a lot! 🤟
