Local here. you can always find cheaper options with same taste in between streets. I have very good breakfast near Istiklal Street for 3 Euros. Just don't go to shiny restaurants if you want to keep it budget

This breakdown is so helpful for anyone planning a trip to Turkey in 2025 thank you! 🙌 I used an app called Jourma while traveling, and it made budgeting super easy by showing restaurant prices and giving tips on transport and places to stay. It really helped me stay on track and avoid surprises!

There are a number of Bank ATMs that do not levy a local fee ( as you say typically 8% ) to withdraw cash…Halk Bank, Zirrat Bank etc….also PTT ( post office ATMs ) are also free…

Unfortunately Istanbul is super expensive currently and felt scammy. It was more expensive than most places in Europe maybe except Switzerland. The museums are not worth such exorbitant prices.

Very helpful video! I must say, with that level of service and amount of complications, seems to be simply not worth it to go there anymore. I feel sorry for Turkish citizens for their fucked up government and economy. In the end it’s them who suffers the most.

Will be traveling to Istanbul for 6 nights this April. I noticed you priced in Euros. If using cash for dining and attractions is the preferred payment in Euros or Lira? Either way it appears Turkey has become very expensive. We’ll enjoy nonetheless.

Hey, really comprehensive information. I was really looking for such a video as I'm planning to move to Türkiye permanently. Can you tell me how's İstanbul compared to other European cities? I'm not asking about tourism prices but about living permanently in own apartment. Thanks 🎉❤

Butter is .5 Euros? LMFAO. Try 2.41 Euros. 15 Eggs are also 2.41 Euros. 5L sunflower oil will cost 8 Euros. The price of everyday items goes up almost on a daily basis but even 3 months ago, the prices of some items you have listed were still much much higher.
