The loudest page flip in recorded history 23:30 even Frank Huang couldn't help himself and looked up and smiled a bit.

Bearing in mind that these players are busy giving concerts as lead members of the New York Philharmonic it is very impressive that they have the time to give quartet concerts of such high standard.

Love the viola, and I'm a violin player. Dvorak wasn't messing around.

As far as melodies, it can't get more American than this.

Maestro Dvorak's vision of morning in America. If we can live up to

A few nights ago my house in Vermont was severely damaged by a sudden flood along a little brook that has given such joy and peace over the years. In the midst of the aftermath, this is the one one piece of music I chose to hear—most especially the lento. And it soothes my soul. Thank you, wonderful musicians. Thank you, Antonin.

The crispiest viola in any recording of the American I've ever heard. That opening gets me every time.

Some of the finest playing by the inner parts in a string quartet that you are likely to hear.

I rediscovered this piece today by chance. Such a beautiful masterpiece. Like finding an old friend after years of being out of sight and out of mind. And as familiar as if no time had passed. Pure joy.

To the 87 people who disliked this… what in the literal hell possesses your measly brain to be ignorant to such joy and happiness

I'm impressed by how Dvorak develops the flow of ideas from 0:55 to 1:35 Just beautiful stuff.

Your viola solo sounds awesome Cynthia! I remember when we were both performing together at the Hidden Valley Music School in California many long years ago! You were awesome then too! I love Dvorak's American and have performed it many times, and even on tour.

I still remember when I was in the elementary school, I participated in a quartet with my violin teacher and practiced this song. As a 10-year-old kid, I was amazed by the elegant sounds and felt as if I were on the adventure to discover America. I tried to look it up on YouTube but I couldn't find the whole version. Ten years have passed, it has reminded me of it thousands of times like an earworm. However, I still couldn't find the whole song.
It is today that when I was freely roaming on YouTube, I felt a sense of urge that made me come here. Thankfully, I found the whole version finally and could relive the past experience.🥰🥰🥰
