1. War is literally how orks grow and develop. The bigger the ork, the more wars it had participated in (so imagine how many wars do warbosses fought in... and survived). In fact when an inquisitor locked up an ork to prevent it from being able to fight anything, that ork began getting weaker and weaker and even became susceptible to common diseases.

2. I would say it would depend on the ork. Most orks like fighting but some of the weird Boyz like pain Boyz (their medics and mad scientists) and mech Boyz (their engineers and technicians that maintain and create ork tech) would have more interest in doing what their specialty demands for. I know for a fact that freebootas also have a particular liking for looting and gathering more and more riches.

3. Anything that would be easy to fight at all would be absolutely decimated and be put into extinction. The orks would find them boring but in the end, that "easy" target would be dead by the time the orks are done.

4. Orks will not tolerate non orks in their society, because they see all non ork life as inferior. Hell, snotlings are part of the ork population, but they're considered the lowest orkoid creature in ork society and are treated little more than living toys and are always bullied by other ork creatures. Hell, they're so pathetic that even gretchins are considered better than them. There are also the Diggas, a group of barbaric humans who emulate ork society and culture, but even then, the orks have a bare miminum grudging tolerance for them to the point of disdain

Look into the diggers. It's a human colony that had to hide in a necron tomb from an ork invasion, to realize that orks are probably better than necrons, so they painted themselves green and started trading with the orks that took over. The orks think it's hilarious

I like that in Total War: Warhammer, the Orks have a special stat called "fightiness" that makes them stronger the more they fight. If fightiness gets too low, you start losing troops because they resort to fighting each other out of boredom.

Kind of like Americans we hate each other and heaven forbid if a 3rd party gets involved, they will have the Bald Eagle's Eye of Sauron focused on them.

Yes. They live for nothing but a *GOOD* fight.

They prefer the hardest fights possible as long as the enemy uses similar tactics, i.e. frontal assaults, masses of troops, tanks, etc.

They dislike eldar because they cheat, always turning invisible and warping away, so fighting them isn't fun.

They love tyranids because they'll endlessly charge ork lines.

They love khorne factions for obvious reasons.

They like space marines, but chaos space marines are more prone to melee, so they like them better.

They usually don't like Imperial guard, but when Yarrick was in leading them on Armageddon, they adored him, thinking he was more orky than most orks.

They do get bored of fighting and it can be fighting anyone. If the scrap starts to be less violent, epic, or they start losing badly they will leave to look for better fight.

I like the idea of being able to survive living close to orks by just doing the equivalent of that one "oh no, I'm just a little goblin" copypasta. So just arguing that fighting you would be so easy that there'd be no satisfaction in it.

actually yes if the war is starting to turn to a standstill orks will literally start fighting each other while the enemy forces build up man power

If the skaven existed in 40k, that's exactly what would happen.

That sounds like an amazing plot line.
Our MC lives next to an orc village but since he's nothing but a scientist, they don't even see him as interesting enough to fight and he also sometimes helps them make tools for battle so they like him enough.

But secretly our MC is a badass spy thats spying on a neighboring city...
Thats all i got but i think i might keep this idea for future thought 🤔

Fun fact (from someone who knows very little about Warhammer): Orks probably explode if bored long enough

Orks don’t just like fighting, most of them love to kill as well. So no one’s really safe, not even the boring ones.
