What’s happening in this Elysium movie clip?
After speaking with Frey (Alice Braga from Repo Men) one final time, Max (Matt Damon de la saga Jason Bourne et de Good Will Hunting) activates the program. As he dies, Elysium's core reboots and registers every Earth resident as an Elysian citizen. President Patel (Faran Tahir from Star Trek) arrives but the robots refuse to arrest Spider (Wagner Moura from Narcos), whom they now recognize as a citizen. Matilda (Emma Tremblay) is cured by a Med-Bay and Elysium's computer dispatches a fleet of medical ships to treat the people of Earth.

What’s the Elysium movie about?
In the year 2159, two classes of people exist: the very wealthy, who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. Secretary Delacourt (Jodie Foster from The Silence of the Lambs and Inside Man) will stop at nothing to preserve the luxurious lifestyle of the citizens of Elysium – but that doesn’t stop the people of Earth from trying to get in by any means they can. Max (Matt Damon from the Jason Bourne saga and Good Will Hunting) agrees to take on a life-threatening mission, one that could bring equality to these polarized worlds.
They both vowed to preserve the pampered lifestyle of Elysium's citizens, no matter what the cost.

The level of medical technology far superceedds anything else, including weaponry. Which is the most unrealistic aspect of this otherwise great movie.

It's incredible to believe that even when it possible to cure all kinds of ailments in this future, to improve the lives of everyone and remove inequality in the world, there still exists a hunger for perceived power and a want to deprive others. That's what Elysium hints at - the greatest sickness humanity faces isn't a cancer, nor mortal wound, but apathy.

Not really a good ending when you put any thought into it. Resources of Elysium are still extremely limited, by making everyone a "citizen" the whole station would be pretty much bricked in a day, and that sucker has to be supplied to maintain
