How To: Set Up a Double Sponge Filter in Aquarium

Sponge filter as the name suggests is a filter where water is drawn through a sponge. Once sponge filter has been set up in an aquarium it will start providing mechanical filtration only. But after maturing, as bacteria colonies starts to grow on massive surface area of the sponge and then it will start providing biological filtration as well. Sponges filters comes in a great variety of sizes and design, In this video i will show you how to install a twin sponge filter in an aquarium tank and will also discuss the importance of sponge filtration and how you can use 1 air pump to provide filtration to multiple aquariums or to operate multiple sponge filters.

I have same filter and am using an Eheim 2 outlet air pump on a 10 gallon tank. I don't get anywhere near the bubbles out of mine like you are getting? Also running both outputs of air pump into single line on filter so should be providing enough air. ideas? Doesn't matter how much I clean them either.

My sponge filter is on its way. Also a bubble tube, so if I use a T piece to use 1 pump for 2 accessoires, will the power be to insufficient for the filter and bubble tube? Or will it be enough for both?
