Personally I think Thomas Sowell has a much better understanding of these issues.

I 100% agree with Bernie Sanders on this. These stupid people that are trying to paint him as a "racist" for the crime of pointing out the FACT that racial inequality and economic inequality are interlinked are sabotaging these man's attempts to address these issues.

Actually Lewis as a black man who hasnt experienced or even personally seen any real racism in my life and don't think racism is a problem. I am still going to vote for Bernie as i agree with him on how rigged the political process is and on income inequality.

I think the reason a lot of Americans deny the connection between racism and economics is it`s a position usually taken by Marxist. I don`t believe that Sanders is a Marxist by any stretch. Yet, the fact he is bring up this clear connection is brave in American politics.

Fixing income inequality to the point where everyone  has enough to live a comfortable life will not fix racism.  However, it would make life better for those who are currently disenfranchised due to their skin color.  Also, people who are happy with their lives are less likely to look around for a scapegoat that they can use to vent their frustrations.

Less Suffering = Less Violence = Less Racial Tension
Billy Bob won't be hanging out at the barber shop, but at least he's less likely to be causing trouble for other ethnicities. It might take a few generations, but we really could beat racism.

I wish that Bernie would spend more time addressing the global inequality caused, to a significant degree, by U.S. imperialism.

Stands to reason that the more money you have the less likely you are to be stopped by cops for a broken tail light or for selling cigarettes. Money is power. They are parallel.

Class is also a nuanced and more complex issue in America than is acknowledged. It is like we admit to having three or maybe 4 classes (low income, middle, rich and super rich) But it is much more complex than that.
Allow me to explain briefly some aspects of my experience so to demonstrate my point. I noticed that my own social/economic circumstance or experience were a  fluid and complex all throughout my life. My parents were at times low income then very humble sub median, welfare level, rent small apartment, no car or use office car, work at Sears, local musician, Non-profit organization worker, continual college, 3 jobs at times. It was complex also because they were separated so one parent would be unemployed the other sub-median. One lived in working class lower income area, the other in  slightly better mixed area.
It was very humble and I perceived others to be as being superior and feeling inferior and not being able to function, fit in socially or communicate with other kids who came from Doctor/lawyer families. It is personal and but things got a little better temporarily because of certain factors, then things got a little worse it was complex its too difficult to get into personal matters but my goal is that I want to express that there  are other dimensions and gradations of class that are important that do not get much attention.
There are blue collar people who own small business and are better off than white collar workers  although one may think the white collar worker is living fine and comfortable but actually they are in a state of constant austere budgeting and if they lost their job they could be not far from homeless.
Location, size of town, regional aspects, regional culture. I observed the size of my hometown (Watertown NY) to be a factor influencing class and the relationships of people because it was smaller and more compact it kept people in closer proximity to one another so that can be good, but it can also be bad because it can obscure class issues or maybe hide them because since people see each other around often they can assume everyone is doing just as well as them since they live within block of each other when actually there is a large disparity in social experience regardless of occupying similar space.
Thats all I'll say for now but I really feel class is a much more complex issue and that the conversations needed to articulate the nuance involved is evaded because of strong emotions and feelings associated with money and status. It is another case of people not wanting to acknowledge, feeling defensive, or frustrated in their own circumstances

Bernie is the only objective, sane and rational candidate.

Talking about the connection between inequality and racism is political suicide? I think it is very tragic if a polititian cant be direct and honest. If research would show that the two are connected or one causes the other thats what you should say. In my opinion it is much better to be honest and have intellectual integrity than to say whatever pleases everybody.

I recommend you people read this book title "The mystery of the shemitah: the 3, 000 year old mystery that holds the secret of America's future, the world's future and your future" and the author is Jonathan Cahn. You people should read it. The bible predicted global economic collapse.
