Update: Why I Won't Carry Juno Much Longer
Показать описание
Recently Juno got updated. Some of the Juno updates are great and some are not! Below are the updates.
If you decide Juno is still great for you, here's my affiliate link.
UPDATE 1: Jcoin is now updated
Jcoin is Juno's cryptocurrency created to reward Juno's users for using their debit cards. They just updated Jcoin policy so that you now get 2x Jcoin on online purchases and 5x Jcoin on in store purchases. Plus they just made it easier to redeem Jcoin! So now you can just turn in Jcoin at a rate of 1000 Jcoin per $1 of rewards. So you can get gift cards to companies like Amazon and Walmart for $5, $10, $20, $30, $40 and $50. Plus, $50 gift cards will actually get you a discounted Jcoin rate.
UPDATE 2: The cashback maximum just got increased!
The cashback maximum used to be $300 per year for those with direct deposit. Now it's $500 per year!
UPDATE 3: The best cashback companies got dropped.
Juno used to have 5% cashback on a ton of great companies like Amazon, Home Depot, Best Buy, Target, Starbucks, Chickfila, Kroger, Airbnb, American Airlines, United Airlines and a ton of others. Unfortunately, Juno just dropped most of the great companies and most of the companies left are for food delivery and digital subscriptions. This makes the cashback all but worthless for someone like me.
UPDATE 4: The deposit bonus just got changed. Partly for the good, partly not.
The deposit bonus is like the interest rate of the account. It used to be 5% on up to $50k of balance and 3% after that up to $250k. Now it basically got switched. Now Juno will provide 3% on balances up to $20k. However, if you have a balance over $20k, you’ll get 5% on your whole balance, up to $250k. Now, while the 5% is better for the entire balance, most people don’t have $20k to deposit so overall I think this doesn’t help the consumer.
Ultimately, I’ll still carry Juno for a little while, but I probably won’t be carrying it in my wallet long term. The cashback just isn’t nearly as good anymore.
