Accident detection and responding using an Android App.

Alerto is an Android application that assists in the detection and response to accidents. To begin with, a user must create an account by providing details such as his or her date of birth, blood group, and contact information for the SOS.

When an abnormal motion or force is detected by the accelerometer, the app detects the accident.

This system is capable of detecting accidents at three levels, namely low, medium, and high.

In the case of low level accidents, the app only sends the responder's current location to the user's contacts if the user does not respond within a specified period of time.

For medium and high level accidents, the app first sends SMS to SOS contacts, then waits for a specific period of time, and then sends SMS seeking assistance to emergency contacts with information such as blood group, SOS contacts, and live location.
