Fun fact: If we could all fly, it would be considered doing exercises and nobody would do that.

There's something about the legend that doesn't make sense: if the wax melted because he was too close to the sun, then temperatures would be high at high altitude on a sunny day. However, mountains have snow-covered summits because air thins at high altitudes, which causes temperatures to decrease. If anything, the wax in his wings should have solidified. Therefore, it can be assumed, that the wax was sabotaged somehow, thanks to King Minos. I think that's how the legend should have gone.

We obviously know that the universe is not 2 dimensional. Since we only have free movement in 2 dimensions, people are generally better at 2D reasoning than 3D reasoning.

Rather than answer the question What If humans could fly, another question is “What adaptations would humans need to fly with wings?”

The bbc did a thing about this. About how the biology of a winged humanoid would work. Basically we’d have to have hollow bones like birds, but the real kicker is we’d have to have a breast bone that protruded at least a meter in front of us to support the musculature we would need to operate wings attached to our backs. So, there we have it.

Everyone thinks that flight would make borders meaningless, but try flying an ornithopter in a red tailed hawk's territory. Winged humans would do just fine at maintaining national borders.

The cool thing is that if we humans EVER get to Saturn's moon Titan, we humans could EASILY strap on a pair of wings and fly around simply by flapping our arms. Because the atmosphere is so thick and the gravity so low, there would be nothing stopping a human from just taking to the skies like a bird with little more than muscle power alone. So while we might not be able to fly here on earth, let us get to Titan and seeing humans flying around like angels could be an every day occurrence.
