How to GRILL the PERFECT New York Strip Steak! 🥩

Here’s how to cook the absolute perfect New York strip steak
First thing I do is I dry the steak off and then do a salt brine on all sides
I let the steak up to room temperature for about 30 minutes
I make sure the steaks are good and dry, because if they’re wet, you’ll steam the meat instead instead of cooking the meat.
I preheat the grill to 550°
While the grills heating up, I make a garlic, rosemary butter 🧈
I place the steak on the grill at a 45 degree angle, set a three minute timer
After three minutes I flip the steak over, making sure to keep it at the same 45° and wait 3 more minutes.
On a cooking board next to the grill, I take the butter and I spread out a bed for the steak to rest on after the 4th flip.
On the third flip I turn the steak 90°
I drizzle the butter sauce over top of the steak and wait another 3 minutes
I flipped a steak for the fourth and final time keeping it at the same 90° and wait another 2 to 3 minutes depending on how well done you want your steak
I placed the steak on the bed of garlic, rosemary, butter, and drizzle the butter over top of the steak
I cover the steak with aluminum foil and let the steak rest I wait 10 minutes
After 10 minutes, I remove the tinfoil salt and pepper to flavor cut and serve immediately
