My top 5 are

1. The Invisible Life Of Addie LaRue by V.E. Schwab
2. I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream by Harlan Ellison
3. Notes On An Execution by Danya Kukafka
4. The Magic Fish by Trung Le Nguyen
5. Ordinary Monsters by J.M. Miro

These are in no particular order but there you have it. These could also be subject to change but these are the ones that stuck me so far this year even after months of reading them.

My favorite books this year (in no particular order) so far has been a Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole, Dark Matter by Blake Couch, the Millennium trilogy by Stieg Larsson (I’m cheating a bit here 😜), Annihilation by Jeff VanderMeer, and my absolute favorite so far is Pachinko by Min Jin Lee.

Blessings from Chicago. Read and loved: shirley Jackson's the lottery and other stories. Read and on the fence about: comfort me with apples by (gave the best to one of my bf to read, forgot who the author is). Read born to be weird by set sytes, and again on the fence about it. Just finished an anonymous girl by Greer Hendricks and Sarah pekkanen, and I enjoyed it. Lastly, so far, the empty house and other ghost stories by algernon blackwood, which I do love as well.

Okay so I’ve read The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue and I loved it sooo much so I decided to give A Darker Shade Of Magic a go, and it was hard to finish- didn’t finish the series. Idk but if you say Vicious is good then ig I’ll give it a go coz so far you’ve got so many good recs lol
