does anyone have a REAL beginner guide. all the guide videos assume you have played diablo before. I don't understand the skills system and the "builds" and need someone to point me in the right direction and no video is for a real beginner

My grandfather who recently passed away had been waiting for a looong time for this game. His favorite game was Diablo and between taking care of his horses and sleeping, he played Diablo. He had played the game for almost two decades (since it first came out) when he died and I remember him waiting and waiting for Diablo 3. Too bad he didnt live to play it. RIP grandpa, love you <3

Runes are not items to be aquired - a rune is "unlocked' automatically when you reach a pre-determined level for each rune, just like a skill is unlocked for the first time at a specific level. Then at any time you can specialize how a skill works by selecting one of the runes that have been unlocked so far for that skill. Some runes for each skill are not unlocked until much later.

I've played Diablo 2 for the first time just recently and am enjoying it. It's basically a hack-and-slash RPG but with a good story and the skill implementation is spot on.

You have to open up your skill book and swap out manually. Not only that, but a 5 or so second delay is put on the new skills you select before you can use it for the first time - so during a fight is not the time to swap.

Diablo and the Elder Scrolls are both classic RPG series that have been around since the 90's. They are very different games. One does not rip off the other.

Yes, especially if you love powering up a character as in rpg's/mmos. I haven't played the first two either, wanted you to now you're not alone. Will definitely be buying.
