Russian President Vladimir Putin was supposed to be arrested during a state visit to Mongolia on September 3. At least that’s what the International Criminal Court (the ICC), Ukraine, and rights organizations wanted. But a red carpet was rolled out for him instead. Here's why.

With great power comes great responsibility. Mongolia doesn't wield great power. They are pretty completely at the mercy of Russia and China. If they decided to arrest Putin, Russia would just walk in and take him back - and Mongolia would literally be facing starvation this winter. Although they technically had this "responsibility", I don't fault them at all for passing on it.

There should be some sort of clause for the international court like it exists for NATO. Any attack on any member state in retaliation for the arrest of anyone should be viewed as an attack on all the member states and all member states obligated to send help.

Even if Mongolia arrested him, they had no way to bring to court, Russia is above them and China will never go along with it. They could have told him to not come, but I imagine Putin made all sorts of threats about that.

This is a good thing about this court... Mongolia could have stopped this war by arresting Putin... A missed opportunity

All of these videos miss the real story
None of Russia's neighbors are its friends, they all feel wronged by russia, but know the west wont help their causes here let me illustrate:
Türkiye: desperately wants to end Montreux convention
Iran : desperately wants to reneg the caspian sea treaty
China : desperately wants russia far east back
Mongolia : wants its empire back
All of them get what they want when russia collapses, and get nothing before, helping russia dig into a war, that russia has zero chance of winning is the only way, then they feast on russias carcass

As I've always said Mongolia is like UK and Russia is like USA they would never turn on against each other just like UK and US wouldn't turn against each other their relationship is very strategic
