Carm, You Are My Life: First vs Final Season #sopranos

Tony Soprano tells Carmela “You’re not just in my life. You are my life” in S1, E6, “Pax Soprana.” A very sweet moment, indeed, even if we know Tony is not faithful at the end of the day. However, later on, at the end of the series in “The Second Coming” (S6.E19), Tony engraves that same message on a watch for Carmela, but it feels like we’re in an entirely new universe by then in terms of how much has changed with the environment and the family dynamics as a whole.
