STAY CALM 2021 - Five Nights at Freddy's Animated Music Video

Since this video is going to upload as a premiere, I figure a lot of people will be reading this before the video starts, which is great because I have a lot to address.

Of course first thing to note is the title. This video is labelled Stay Calm 2021, as it is a reflection of my progress throughout 2021, it is not named based on the year it releases. Also going from 2020 to 2022 in the Stay Calm series would just be weird.

Secondly, the upload date. Yes, I know, it's late. An entire month late, almost. This is credit to a variety of factors, mainly due to the use of Blender as opposed to SFM, which I utilised for the first 5 animations in the series. One thing especially to note is the render time, which added up approximately to just over three days, already exceeding the time limit for the original plan in render time alone. Being more free to add what I wanted and creatively adapt to the workflow of Blender did allow for more creative and ambitious shots, it also consumed more time although I believe I made a good choice in releasing a better video later.

Can I guarantee there will be more Stay Calms after this one? Being made in Blender, this video certainly marks the end of an era, to say the least. SFM was what allowed the absurd tradition to stay faithful to the original rules for the last 5 years, and now I've been able to create something much more visually appealing at the cost of breaking the tradition rules. I do have plans in mind for potential future Stay Calms, although I cannot guarantee I will have the time nor motivation to see them through to the end. What I'm saying is don't expect anything, but don't expect nothing either!

To reiterate what I say every year, these Stay Calms serve as a personal challenge to practice and learn the tools at my disposal as an artist. I understand some may not appreciate the time I sink into these videos, being particularly "unoriginal" and "repetitive", I do believe that the Stay Calms serve as an accurate reflection of my progress as an artist and it's always interesting to me to see how I've grown. If you don't like them, don't watch them, it's as simple as that.

This was a blast! I think the biggest standout in this animation for me was the moments where the animatronics would talk to each other and interact, the animations in those moments were so unbelievably well done and professional, so full of character and unique animation. (and of course the dancing scenes and visuals all around were stellar)

These models and textures are incredible. I can imagine how they would feel to touch, the fabric stretching at their eyes giving the illusion that it’s stretched over a mold for their heads.

I love how FULL every scene feels, like theres no unnecessary freespace thats just a blank slate. You made everything fit into the frame perfectly without making things look overdone I adore it.

This was absolutely phenomenal. I am not exaggerating when I say words cannot describe how amazing this is! Every scene was so detailed and immersive, even scenes like the SB recreation (Which I adore) felt so clean and perfect. The animation, lighting and the overall quality has drastically improved since the last Stay Calm iteration which is no surprise. Honestly your work never misses and seeing you improve over the course of the years has been awesome! Amazing amazing amazing :DD

god I've watched this at least 40 times now the attention to detail on literally EVERYTHING is insane!!! I'll never get over how realistically accurate you redesigned the bots to be, I've literally just been going frame by frame at certain parts at the highest quality possible to soak all the details in-

The realism of the models and atmosphere is shocking, you can see wrinkles on the fabric around the eyes, a place where there would realistically be wrinkles, or how there's bugs flying around in certain shots, it really makes the animation that much better and its really impressive.

I think what I specifically LOVE about your blender stuff over source is there’s just so much ATMOSPHERE. I can’t stress enough how god damn cool it is seeing actual fog and particles and the use of volumetrics is so smooth.
If you continue to evolve atmosphere and feel in animations I think ur gonna get even better and better. This shits fantastic.

i absolutely love everything about this, the animation, the lighting, the atmosphere, all of it is just perfect!

Wow... this is so fresh and is so full, with the effects and the general vibe of dustiness to the animation is so, so nostalgic. It perfectly captures what old fnaf videos used to feel like, while being visually pleasing all around. My favorite parts are with golden freddy and when it shows the outside of the pizzeria. With how torn I'm feeling about modern fnaf, this is so comforting that other fans like this are still so happily dedicated to honoring what truly made fnaf so good. B grade horror on the surface with simplicity and a very slight small sense of not taking itself seriously, but once you peel back the first layer you can explore the emotionally raw darkness and tragicness of it.
