Absolutely! My son is 33 and he is so defensive and can’t accept there’s an addiction issue. He’s so smart but the physical and mental issues are in control. My husband and I are at a loss.

Addicts are masters at not taking ownership. I think it lessens their pain. My mom used to blame her drinking on the devil.😢
