Pahud is brilliant as ever, and the orchestra is wonderful!

That velvety low register, holey moley! I like the tempo, too.

I'd like to declare that Pahud has become one of the finest flutists in the world.
And I don't have to say extreme goodness of Berlin Phil.

I love how Pahud looks so relaxed and the oboist looks like he's got stomach cramps.

Holy moley, the way EP makes that low register speak, and the ravishing subtle vibrato...so lovely. Of course, I could play like that too if I had me wunna them gold flutes 🤣

It's good to see a world class flutist holding the lip plate more parallel with the line of the lower lip instead of at a pronounced angle. A million years ago one of my flute teachers tried to get me to adopt that tilt but it always felt horribly unnatural. It seems like I'm seeing more brilliant flutists playing that way than ever, and if it works for them, who can argue.

La interpretación que hace la filarmónica de esta obra de Fauré es estupenda .Gracias por compartir esta hermosa obra.

Emmanuel Pahud is obviously one of, if not the most recognisable flautists this world has to offer. You could search whatever kind of classical, romantic, impressionist and what have you piece without seeing Pahud in one of the performances absolutely killin' it. Recently I have gotten quite attached to his absolute mastery of the flute, and he is my first and absolute recommendation to flautists wanting to listen to performances this guy has done. Never in my nine years of playing (mind you I started when I was eight and didn't have any true motivation to do what I love now until when I was around fifteen or sixteen) have I been more devoted to hearing someone like Pahud. I don't think I would have improved as much as I have if it wasn't for actually listening and watching some of his masterclass sessions.

How many times I've listened Pavane. But it's evergreen. A real starshine on classic's sky. My respects to the musicians. Regards from India.

Una maravilla de Fauré. Sublime Pahud, como siempre.

the oboe playing here by Albrecht Meyer is equally as beautiful to the flute and clarinet solos. The oboe uses less air, but it is flowing through a smaller bore, which causes different facial expressions. You obviously needed this information so you can make more informed comments in the future. We are not always afforded the close up camera shots of the players.
