Take pressure off of your back muscles ☝🏽

If you aren’t able to move your hips or upper body without your back responding- your back muscles are likely overworking during many different activities. Meaning they are on overdrive which can lead to irritation 🫠

This exercise helps to work on controlling your spine and hips to reduce this overactivity while you alternate lifting your arms up overhead ✅

Many people will want to arch their back as they raise their arms overhead which is a compensation that can lead to more back stiffness and tightness 😵‍💫

Using a wall for feedback can help your body to learn the control that can then translate to every day life 🙌🏼

10-20 alternating lifts may be a good place to start for most. Only lift your arm as high as is comfortable for you ⚠️

This can be a great exercise to incorporate everyday or every other day, as long as it feels good, so you’re body gets enough repetitions to start learning 👍🏽

If you’re looking for other ways to reduce back pain and stiffness- strengthening is one of the BEST ways to do so. Inside the membership, Adventurers for Life- you’ll learn some of the best movements to help you feel confident again 😍

I do this pelvic tilt at the bowling alley when my back starts to hurt. It does help.

In 18 months ish, arthritis in my left hip that was considered moderate has also now consumed my Lumbar and sciatica joint.

It seems inflammation Is My Kryptonite; and I'm not sure how to deal with that yet. I wanted to say I appreciate your video shares because I do the leg steps to the side and back and other hip arthritis exercises.

And I noticed that when I can't lift my foot because the pain is so excruciating... that if I do a pelvic tilt and tighten my butt cheeks that I am able to walk enough to loosen up.

Its because of your videos and sharing.
Thank you.

I know I'm not healed yet. And I have a long way to go. But you have made it so I can still continue to get up and go to work. Thank you very much 🎉

Thank you for your tips, I’m following your videos. I’m a retired veteran with many medical problems you address.
I’ve had a broken back, multiple shoulder dislocations, partial amputation of left foot due to osteomyelitis, so my balance is now effective, spent three years in & out of hospital, have lost a lot of strength in my legs.
Thank you for all your videos, I’m doing all the things you say, there a great help

I have been suffering from sciatic pain for years . I don't get enough sleep due to this. I tried all sorts of exercises and nothing seemed to offer any relief. I changed my mattress every 6 months and bought a new office chair which I feel may help prevent sciatica.I have consulted orthopedic surgeons as well but I still have sciatic pain every night. I hope you can help me on this matter. Thank you so much .

What kind of leg workout do you do? Love your leg muscles. Leg press, resistance training? Will it help for osteoporosis (hip)? Thank you.

That's the back position the PT showed me years ago and I still use it every now and then when my lower back muscles are tight . They didn't add the arms, though, but it is a temporary quick relief.
