Tamiya Grasshopper Build

This is my build video for the Tamiya Grasshopper. I bought some metal ball bearings to replace the plastic ones and also used a 540 motor with 18t pinion.
I use the Flysky receiver which I run most my trucks on. Took approximately 4 hours (with tea breaks).
Please check out my other videos.

use some anaerobic thread lock on the wheel nuts... not only prevents them for comeing loose later but makes putting them in a lot easier cause they stick to your finger :)

In your off camera work, did you have difficulty putting the tiny ball connector (BC3) into the upright (BC13) (around the front suspension step)?
Mine don't seem able to screw in, since the hole is so small (and triangular looking, but not sure if that's a problem).

Nice! did you clear coat the body at all? I was going to paint mine yellow, but I like the original white.

Love the video. I just bought two grasshoppers for my kids for Christmas. When I bought the kits I also bought a Axial 540 motor (20 turn). Is your 540 motor a rs540sh? Do you know how the Axial 540 i bought will compare to the rs540sh? I also bought one of my kids a hornet and I would like the grasshoppers and the hornet to be the same speed. thanks.
