Nothing but love and Respect in his tone of voice. We all hate on each for the Jerseys we wear but at the end of the day we’re a whole and we all play and love the sport just as much as anyone<3

There is crying in baseball. Tears filled my eyes to see him dismount and assisted in . C C gave it his very best.

Lots of love for CC from both Yankee fans & baseball fans everywhere. Painful to see him hurting as he departed but it surely doesn’t diminish one iota from all the well deserved respect he’s worked hard to earn.
There’s more to life than his baseball career and he’s been smart to have planned for it in his personal life. Really shows the character of the man. A legend that all can aspire to imitate.

Always loved CC even as a Met fan. Was really rooting for him to get out of that jam last night. I want Joe Girardi on my team so bad!

Might be the last time we see CC on the mound, but I don't think it's the last time we see CC Sabathia involved in the game. He's so revered and respected, he can slide into any position he wants.

Throwing 91 with a dislocated shoulder, and gave up 500k to back up his teammate. Cc was MAN. You’ll be missed by all baseball fans who all wished they had a general like you on their side. Thanks for the memories CC.

As I watched the game yesterday in Hawaii, another New Yorker and I watched him leave the mound for the final time. With tears in our eyes, we clapped as if we were at Yankee Stadium. The people around us didn’t understand why. But we knew. I happened to work for the YANKEES in 2009, and of the surest things in baseball that championship season was watching CC Sabathia do his thing. We had, have, and always will have an ace in him.

As a Jays fan it was hard to see CC pitch last night and go out the way he did
Much love and respect for this giant of the game

Girardi is one of the toughest emotional men I have ever seen. Hard as a rock on the outside and sour to the core. But inside that core is the sweetest, nicest, gentlest love-filled gentleman you'll ever see in history.
