Coming from a Red Sox fan, It's nice to see that even the worst of enemies can put down their weapons to salute a Yankees legend. Very respectful of Boston to do this.

You know you played the game right when you get this kind of respect from your biggest rivals. Wish the game had more Derek Jeters.

Pure class by the Fenway faithful. Thanks for giving our captain a proper send off.

As a life long die hard Yankee fan. It brought tears to my eyes as Fenway Park, of all places serenaded Jeter. Thank you Boston.

I'm a Yankee's fan and I must say the Boston fans and organization is a class act. Nothing but respect for the Boston Red Sox on how they treated Derek Jeter in his final at bat.

Jeter wasn't just good for the Yankees, he was good for baseball, and the Fenway faithful recognized that and reacted with absolute class.

As a BOSOX fan I'm proud of my fellow Bostonians for sending the great Derek Jeter off respectfully. He deserved nothing less. The man and the player are full of greatness. Well done Boston and well done Derek Jeter. The game is better having had you as a player.

The last place I ever expected to hear that chant. Brought tears to my eyes. Yankees fan 'til I die, but this was a class act by the Fenway faithful.

I was at that game, it was pretty surreal just seeing Sox fans hugging and buying beers for random Yankees fans

For one at bat, us Yankee fans and the Red Sox fans agreed on something.

4:07 Ichiro Suzuki hugging Derek Jeter: 7, 832 professional hits between both (total MLB and Japan). Impressive.

The rivalry is fierce but so is the respect. This is why we love sports.

I'm 64 years old and I've been a Red Sox fan for as long as I can remember. Red Sox vs Yankees is a rite of passage, and over the years the Yankees have by far gotten the best of the Sox. This grates on us Sox fans and we've come to earn a very healthy dislike of them....but every now and then a Yankee player stands above the rest and he elevates himself above the fray. Derek Jeter is one of those players. He played with skill, determination, distinction, and class. I will always admire him for that.

Born & raised 5 miles outside of Boston. Life long Red Sox fan. Jeter defined the word excellent. I don’t think in my almost 40 years on our planet that I’ve seen a more complete baseball player on & off the field. Yeah, he broke my heart and millions of other Bostonians & Sox fans worldwide and I accept that. He was awesome. He was a little different from the rest. Thanks for the memories, #2!!!

To hear the opposing team's fans (especially the Sox) actually cheer when a player on the other team gets on base is just amazing.
