Why I sold my 4090 for a 7900 XTX
Let me explain a bunch of the benefits that I've had moving from my RTX 4090, to the 7900 XTX.

my audio latency problems completely went away after I moved to AMD.

Any displays that use freesync typically don't have issues with NVIDIA, but I have run across a few instances where it kind of does. I'm just not seeing on AMD anymore.

Sometimes the second display would just blank out. Swapped to AMD, haven't had any issues now.

When I try an alt tab out of a full screen game, it would take a long time to get to the desktop. Well, ever since I swapped to the RX 7900 XTX, it instantly alt-tabs, and it is… so good.

Dude says something good about the competition and suddenly hes shilling. lol come on guys be fair. Hes covered Nvidia products in a favorable light for years. Now hes sharing a good experience he's had and is taking flak for it. Why?

Built a beast with a 4090. Sold it. Built another beast with an XTX. Kept it.

Weird thing is, 4K feels the same on both cards and I don't miss my 4090. My bank account is happier too

Glad you're having a good experience! Nvidia has gone crazy with pricing this gen, so I'm not gonna buy from them but I'm still nervous about making the change to AMD.

i’m only rocking the 7900 xt but i can say it is a BEAST i’m not sure if i want to return it to upgrade to the xtx version but i have been pleasantly surprised by this card

I have no issues alt-tabbing instantly on the 4080, let alone the 4090

After my 12 pin connector just melted I'm thinking about trading my 4090 in for a 7900xtx too. Nvidia has better lighting and reflection but AMD has way better color, complex splatting, and texture detail, which to me makes it look much better in comparison. RT is overrated.

Not only did I "like" this and the full length video on Youtube, but I completely agree and switched up my build. People like myself need to put our money where our mouths are. If we are REALLY tired of Nvidia's tactics then buy AMD (admittedly not great either as far as marketing goes). I appreciate that you did this and shared your experience and even found 7900 XTX to be better in some ways. New build for me coming before December and I'm going all AMD this time, after being full Intel/Nvidia fanboy, I'm done.

I think I’ll keep my 4090 until we see their answer to the 7900xtx. Which may not come alongside the 9070, but will no doubt be in the pipeline within a year or so

The $1000 you saved you could also get a 14900k, motherboard, memory, case, power Along with the 7900xtx ...OR you can buy a 4090 and set it on your desk because you still have to buy the rest of the computer 😂

Reading this now while the new Nvidia 50 series cards are literally bricking themselves because of a driver is kind of funny. I'm late to the party but i'm going to grab a sapphire nitro + 9700xtx and a ryzen 7 9800X3D because Nvidia is wild.

I have ZERO issues with my RED Devil XTX. I upgraded from my 2080. It’s a beast and runs everything well. It was a GRAND! But I don’t regret it. Good time.

The blanking was likely issued with DSC. Something nvidia has only fixed in the latest driver update I did like a few days ago took them years to fix it

lol so many insecure people. both cards are great, but if you want best price for performance you go 7900xtx if you want undoubted power no matter the price go 4090. i went 7900xtx cause the 70 percent price increase isnt worth the 20 percent performance.
