Diesel Talk | Bosch Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor

If the truck doesn’t know how much pressure it’s making, how can it knock your socks off? Thus the importance of having a quality, functioning rail pressure sensor. While these do fail over time, this is a very misdiagnosed item. Remember, if you have a fuel rail pressure sensor code, it’s just sending you a “red flag” saying, “HEY, LOOK AT ME!” It doesn’t always mean the sensor has failed. If it’s time to replace yours, don’t cheap out, go with the name everyone trusts, even the OEMs, and get a BOSCH.

I had someone replace my intake manifold with a banks kit, they obviously had to remove the fuel rail, after instalation the fuel pressure sensor leaks, although he never removed it, is there a gasket that might have gone out? I have a cummins 6.7 by the way. Thanks.
